BOOK FAIR

Dear Parents,

Our Book Fair that was held over the last two weeks was a huge success!

The reasons for holding the Book Fair were to promote reading for the students and for them to explore the range of available new texts, topics and authors on display. There was an abundance of serial, non-fiction, diaries, picture and activity books available for every reader and interest. The posters all sold out and the variety of stationery items always gets the children buzzing!

The Book Fair is a popular school activity for students. If you did not make it this year then mark it down for next year. Your child will be really excited to see their mom & dad ready to share and discover the huge variety of books with them here in our own school library. It is okay if you come and spend some time just reading with your child. That is time well spent and a sure way to maintain their reading skills and interest.

We are trying to offer a diverse selection of titles, genres, fantasy, classics, references, award-winners, humour, nonfiction and mystery.

A special thank you goes to Ms. Meagan Height for her continuous hard work and dedication as organizer of the Book Fair! Thank you to all of the students, parents, and staff who supported this event.

We were able to put some books into the hands of our readers by adding to the permanent collection. A big thank you goes out to all of the volunteer students who helped with Book Fair! Because of all of you, the Book Fair was a success and we earned 30 books for our library!
